Sharon

I specialise in emotionally inclusive therapy for healing trauma and the grief and loss that can present in all areas of our lives.

I am passionate about helping people heal from trauma. Having experienced my own struggles with trauma, addiction, and grief and loss, I know the dark and lonely places of helplessness one can experience. I offer a compassionate, safe and nurturing environment, using a person-centred, trauma-informed approach of staying right beside you to support and encourage self-care and healing.

I am also passionate about relational counselling and acknowledge the interconnectedness of human nature and the important role relationships play in our lives. I believe we are meant to connect with others on an interpersonal and emotional level, and that strong, fulfilling relationships help people maintain emotional wellbeing. I offer couple, family and group therapy.

My approach

I offer long-term counselling and brief therapy, depending on the needs of the individual, couple or group.

I also offer supervision for other mental health workers, case workers and counsellors. I know the benefits of supervision and value my own, as it is an essential part of my self-care and professional development.
